  This 1080p JVC front projector, an LCoS model, is a top-rated model.  The JVS DLA-HD550 has excellent overall performance. Though pricey, it delivers class- leading picture quality with superior contrast fueled by its benchmark black levels. It is very good at reducing motion blur. It is easy to use and comes with an excellent remote control. It's an excellent choice for discerning home-theater fans who can afford its loftier price tag.

   

  You will be pleased with the excellent HD picture quality and standard-definition picture quality. It does an excellent job displaying the finest detail in top-quality HD content. It features excellent Color accuracy and Contrast was very good, especially on darker scenes  This gives images depth and dimension. This projector's image brightness is very good and you can achieve very good deep black levels, perhaps as good as it gets on a consumer grade projector. You will like the excellent, smooth reproduction of scenes with subtly shaded light-to-dark areas, such as a sky during sunset. A plus is the excellent film-mode operation which effectively eliminates jagged edges on 1080i HD and 480i SD movie content. Overall, it is easy to use, has an excellent remote control, easy to navigate on-screen menus and JVC's "Clear Motion Drive" feature which effectively reduced motion blur without introducing image motion smoothing on film-based content.

   

  If you have a picky eye you may think the reds  and greens are a bit oversaturated, but for most people and for a typical image this is not a problem.  If you are picky, please note the JVC DLA-HD550 lacks a color management system that would allow for optimizing color calibration and customizable picture settings by source.
